Falling Walls Lab MSCA competition 2020

The Falling Walls Lab MSCA competition will take place fully online on 29 September 2020. The event is organized by the European Commission with the support of the German EU Council Presidency.

During the event, 20 MSCA fellows from all disciplines will be given an opportunity to pitch – in 3 minutes each – their research topic, innovative project or idea showcasing a breakthrough that creates a positive impact on science and society in front of their peers and a distinguished jury from academia and business.

This competition is open to all ongoing MSCA fellows to participate in the competition online: are you up for the challenge? 

The finalist will be able to join the growing Falling Walls community of emerging innovators & win a spot in the global Falling Walls Lab showcase!

WHO CAN APPLY?

  • Ongoing MSCA early stage and experienced researchers and innovators
  • All disciplines welcome

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

You must be 18 years or older when submitting your application. You must fulfil at least one of the following formal requirements:

  • You are currently enrolled in university
  • You are currently a postdoc
  • You received a Bachelor’s degree no more than 10 years ago
  • You received a Master’s degree no more than 7 years ago
  • You received a PhD no more than 5 years ago

* An MD (medical degree excl. a doctoral dissertation) is considered equivalent to a Master’s degree. A Dr. med. (medical degree incl. a doctoral dissertation) is considered equivalent to a PhD.

  • Applications must be submitted in English.
  • This is a once in a lifetime opportunity. Past participants are no longer eligible to apply.
  • No ticket purchase necessary when applying to an international Falling Walls Lab.
